Tip of the Week: Create a Password Reset disk before you need it!

You may have noticed something called a "Password Reset Wizard" or "Forgotten Password Wizard" in Windows and thought that it was an interesting idea, then simply moved on...

This is your WAKEUP CALL!  The time to make a Password Reset Disk is before you lose your password, so do it today!  You can create a disk that will allow you to reset your Windows XP or Vista password in the event you lose it (for obvious reasons, store this disk in a secure place).

For instructions in Windows XP, go here.

Headwhack of the Week: What the heck is a SDHC Class 6 flash card?

Anthony wrote us to ask "what is a SDHC Class 6 Flash card and will it work in my 5 year old HP camera?"

SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity and is the latest standard for large storage SD cards above 4 Gb.
Class 6 refers to the Speed Class Rating, which has a published write speed of 6 Mb/second and is currently the fastest (Class 2 = 2Mb/second and Class 4 = 4Mb/second).

Compatibility for this new standard on really old devices is not likely to be good.  Most digital cameras made after the later part of 2006 have a good shot at using SDHC cards, but most older card readers won't have much luck reading them.  In some cases, you can download "firmware" from camera manufacturers websites to upgrade your camera to be able to use the new SDHC standard, so check the support section of your camera manufacturer's website for details.

This Week's Show:  Google Turns 10 - Looking back & forward

Believe it or not, the most powerful Internet company on the planet was nothing more than a school project a decade ago.

In 10 short years, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Standford University graduate students took their project to retrieve relevant info from massive databases (originally called "BackRub" because of it's analysis of back links) and turned it into the 800 lb gorilla of the Internet.

Most of us use one or many of the resources that Google has created everyday often without even realizing that Google is behind it.

Listen in as we take a stroll down memory lane and examine all of the contributions, hits, misses and future potential of Google.
