Poll of the Week: How long have you been using a personal computer?

Tip of the Week: Finding Wallpaper images with Bing

Microsoft took on a heck of a challenge when they launched Bing to compete with Google, but they have already made some headway, especially in the area of image searches.

One of the really cool uses of the Bing image search is to find images that are the proper resolution and size for use as Windows Wallpaper.

Start by entering your search parameters (Ex: 69 Camaro) press enter, then look in left column for the 'Size' option and click on it to choose 'Wallpaper' to filter the results.

Once you navigate to the full size version of any of the resulting pictures, you can simply right-click on the image and click on 'Set as Background'.

Headwhack of the Week: Spotting phishing e-mails

The holiday shopping season is upon us and those that create fake e-mail messages in an attempt to get at your personal information (phishing) have been stepping up their game.

The most widely spread phishing e-mail is currently posing as a message from the Internal Revenue Service, but the Paypal, Ebay and various bank based messages aren't too far behind (in volume).

Elinor Mills of Cnet.com has put together a nice resource for helping everyone recognize phishing e-mails by signatures and red flags!

Geek Speak of the Week: Last texter

That friend that always sends you a meaningless text after the obvious end of a text conversation, just to get the last text in.

The type of person that will text "K" back after you text them "Please don't text me right now, in a meeting."

Security: Cyberattacks on U.S. Military Jump Sharply in 2009

Citing data provided by the U.S. Strategic Command, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission said that there were 43,785 malicious cyber incidents targeting Defense systems in the first half of the year. That's a big jump. In all of 2008, there were 54,640 such incidents. If cyber attacks maintain this pace, they will jump 60 percent this year.

News: Town to photograph every car that enters and leaves

A meeting of the Tiburon (California) Town Council voted on Wednesday by 4 to 0 to install cameras to photograph every single car that enters or leaves the quaint little town just north of San Francisco...

News: Google's Chrome OS - The good, the bad & the ugly

On the heels of the first public demonstration of Google's Chrome, Adrian Kingsley-Hughes of ZDNet.com has had a little time to think about Google's vision for their yet to be released operating system and how it will impact Windows, Mac and Linux.

Data Doctors Video on Cnn.com: The Greatest Hits

A major change has been made at CNN.com as the anchor based live streaming content has all been shut down, but the video streaming continues. We are working with the producers to provide our tips the old-fashioned way: shooting & editing segments. Our first test segment should be up in the next couple of days, so for the time being here is a link to every segment we've done going back to December of 2006!

Opinion: Just because it's on Twitter, it (still) isn't true

Helen A.S. Popkin of MSNBC.com: "The Internet didn't invent our love of hoaxes, it just spreads them faster"

Weekly Advice Column: Which OS for my new laptop?

Aman asks: "I am currently using a 3 year old Windows XP laptop and am planning to buy a new laptop. Could you please suggest to me whether I should go for a Mac or a Windows 7 laptop?" Get our advice here!

This Week's Show: To switch or not to switch (to a Mac)

More and more Windows users are contemplating a switch to the Mac OS, partly from what they hear from others and partly from a very successful marketing campaign by Apple.

While the majority of the world still uses Windows-based systems, Apple continues to gain market share, one convert at a time.

If you are one of the many contemplating this very question, then have we got a show for you!

Join the Data Doctors as we discuss the best ways to go about evaluating whether you should switch to a Mac or stick with Windows for your next computer.

Join us Saturdays from 12:00PM-2:00PM (Mountain) on News 92.3 KTAR or listen LIVE via the Internet at KTAR.com as we discuss your computer questions at: 602.277.5827 or ask your questions during (or before) the broadcast using the ask a question page.
