Some video settings do not work

Question

When I try to change my settings to 256 colors and 65536 colors 16bits, I get 9 lines down my screen. My 24bits and 32bits colors are ok. What is the problem. I`m new to computers. If had this computer for about one year and I never had this problem before............thanks

This question was answered on July 28, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

I suggest you add more Video RAM. Some higher resolutions need more memory that others to run properly. Also make sure you have the latest video drivers for your Operating System. Check with the manufacturers website for any updates or fixes.
