The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall of about 78,000 Universal Inkjet Refill Kits in cooperation with the manufacturer, NCR Corp. According to CPSC, the Inkjet Refill Kits lack necessary child resistant packaging and warning labels. The ink contains ethylene glycol which could pose an ingestion hazard to young children.

The ink kits sold at Big Lots and Walgreens from April to June, 2004. The kits will have one of the following model numbers: 943264, 999292, or 999289.

Consumers are advised to immediately remove the kits from child access and return to place of purchase for refund or replacement kit.
