Dial-Up Modem error
Question
trying to help my sister. When I try to get on the net it will say modem in use with other device? She is on a rusty wire and the modem is internal help Thank You Jeff

This question was answered on January 27, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
You should try replacing the phone wire it might be one of the wires is broken and is causing problems.
The second thing you may try is to check what other devices such as other phone and Fax machines are on the same phone line.
