Choice to start up windows?
Question
My 2nd computer is not able to start up windows. It is showing a black screen with writing all the way down. At the bottom it gives you the choice to start windows normally, start in safe mode, and a couple of others. There is also a timer at the bottom and when the time runs out, the screen goes to Compaq and then shows the windows screen very quickly and then goes back to the black screen again with all the writing. What can i do to bring my computer back up?

This question was answered on March 4, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
You have to choose "start in normal mode" before the time runs out, after that your computer should start normally.
