What is slow logon?

My computer takes almost 5 minutes to logon, and the same amount of time to log off. HELP!

This question was answered on July 11, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
There could be a number of problems with your computer, depending on the age of the computer itself. You may have too much data installed or possibly be running low on system memory. This is common in older computers. If you are running a newer computer, you most likely are experiencing an adware or spyware issue. To fix this you can try running an anti adware/spyware software program, which is available at any electronics store. However, for about 10-20 dollars more you more you can have it professionally removed at you local computer services shop.
