Why won't my printer print?

My hp disk /printer won't print. It keeps saying paper jam and there is no paper.

This question was answered on November 17, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
Try restarting your printer by turning it off and then back on. Also check to see that your printer queue is clear. Click Start/Control Panel/Printers and Faxes/Select your printer/Printer/Cancel All Documents. See if you can get the printer to print a test page. When selecting a printer from the Printers and Faxes, right-click and select Properties.
