How do i clean my touch pad mouse on my laptop?
Question
I know that you have answered questions about the mouse going astray. You usually say to clean the ball in the mouse. I have a laptop and I don't have a ball in my mouse it is just on my computer. If cleaning it is the problem how do I clean it. Would it be something else?

This question was answered on February 16, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
First you should get a can of compressed air and gentlly spray your entire keyboard and touch pad mouse. This will clean any dust and or dirt out of the keyboard and mouse.
Next you would use a damp lint free cloth and gently clean the surface area of your touch pad mouse. If there is a substance that a damp cloth will not clean off, I would use a very small amout of rubbing alcohol to clean the surface.
