The possible reason that your hard drive says it is full but is really not could be because you have a lot of temporary internet files, cookies, temporary files. To access these from your Windows XP computer is go to Start Menu | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup. When you run the Disk Cleanup, you will see the amount of files that you can delete from your computer that you do not need. After this, you should be able to get some space back to your hard drive. That is the possible reason that your hard drive says is full.
