Getting back old emails?

Can you recover emails sent in 2005 and 2006?

This question was answered on May 7, 2008. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
The simple answer is no. However, if you have an old archive from outlook for example with the deleted items, you have a chance. Also, if its really important to you and if its through your ISP, you can call them and see if you can get it back. However, the more than likely truth is if you didn't have them saved some where they are most likely gone.
