What browser will I use with AOL?

Is it alright to have two browsers and if so how do I use the second browser if I choose not to use the one that is installed? I do not have the Internet Explorer Browser, I have one that Compaq helped me install. I would like to install Netscape because it is offered through AOL.

This question was answered on July 14, 1999. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
There is no limit to the number of browsers that you can install and use simultaneously. On a standard Internet account you can even open them at the same time. AOL has limitations, however. When you sign up with AOL you will have your choice of web browsers to use when you install AOL. At that point you will not be using the browser that came with your Compaq. For clarification below you will find a definition of browser for educational purposes.
Browser-Short for Web browser, a software application used to locate and display Web pages. The two most popular browsers are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Both of these are graphical browsers, which means that they can display graphics as well as text. In addition, most modern browsers can present multimedia information, including sound and video, though they require plug-ins for some formats.
