Hard Drive Question

i have got maxtor 80gb used hd.bios is detecting the drive, but showing capacity as 0mb

This question was answered on October 25, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
Try loading the setup defaults in BIOS. Then refresh the HD in BIOS and see if that works, otherwise try doing a clean install and see what windows shows the Hard Drive as.
Otherwise your IDE controller might be bad. Try adding in a PCI IDE controller and go from there.
Worst case the HD is toast but see if you can get a refund.
