Should I prepay for Internet access for life?

Question

www.webcombo.net offers free internet for a one time fee of $149.95 for their Netscape program. I now have Netscape thru U.S.West and pay $19.95 per month. It seems like a good deal, but I have only been on line a couple of months and therefore am unsure if a switch is the right thing to do. I ask for any advise you can offer.

Thank You, Ron Herbst

This is hard to answer. The world of Internet access is rapidly changing. What you pay for on a monthly basis is to the Internet service provider and not to Netscape software which is free. Go online and check out the deals that USWest is starting to offer. There are so many ways to connect to the Internet and they are changing every day. The future of Internet access may not be regular phone lines, soon these 56k lines will be considered obselete. Our advice would be in general do not commit to any Internet service for more than six months and check out your options.
