How do I deal with the Stealth-c virus?

How do I remove the Stealth c virus from my computer if it is in the MBR of my hard drive and it becomes memory resident when I boot up to Windows 98?

This question was answered on September 7, 1999. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
Try this Download MCafee viruscan Evaluation version (free at www.Mcafee.com) and Put it on a bootable floppy disk that you created from a machine that is not infected. (Do Not create the boot disk on the infected computer!) Do a format with system files option. In DOS "Format a: /s" then copy viruscan files to this floppy. Boot up the computer with the disk in the drive. See if that works, if not please feel free to send in the same question again.
