QuickBooks and Windows XP upgrade problem!

Quickbooks and Windows XP may not mix!

This question was answered on January 11, 2002. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
If you attempted to upgrade to Windows XP and got the following error message:
Fatal Error
Setup Cannot Continue. Please Contact Microsoft Technical Support. (Error: 3E6h)
the problem may be with Intuit's QuickBooks program.
Microsoft has posted a warning with some options for continuing at:
