Compaq 2700 series notebook computers may overheat!

Compaq has released a System ROM update for the following models: Presario 2700AP, 2700EA, 2700GR, 2700SC, 2700TC, 2700US, 2701EA, 2701US, and 2702EA notebook computers.

This update fixes a problem that could cause the computers to run sub-optimally and possibly overheat.

Compaq provides patches via their Softpaq system. This update is in Softpaq SP19983 which can be downloaded at:
