American Power Conversion is voluntarily recalling two models in its Back-UPS CS uninterruptible power supply line. According to the company, these products may result in overheating and could cause a possible fie hazard. Three reported incidents ended up in only minor property damage but no injuries have been reported. The recall is in the 120-volt and 230-volt specified models.
Product Models are : BK325I, BK325-RS, BK350, BK350EI, BK350-AZ, BK350-FR, BK350-GR, BK350-IT, BK350-UK, BK350JP, BK350IX218, BK475I, BK475-RS, BK500, BK500EI, BK500-AZ, BK500-BR, BK500-FR, BK500-GR, BK500-IT, BK500-UK, BK500BLK, BK500JP, and BK500TW.
The total number of affected devices being recalled is about 2.1 million worldwide.
