Microsoft has found a flaw in Windows NT 4.0, 2000 and XP kernel. The kernel is the core of the OS and provides critical system services. The flaw results in a vulnerability to the user from an attacker that could write a program to exploit their computer.

This security bulletin is rated as 'Important' from the Max Risk category from Microsoft. A patch for this is already available and a suggested download from Microsoft.
