that time is under Accessed
Question
I was using the computer of someone I have known for a long time to retrieve work emails through XO.com. I opened 4 emails though XO.com (one had a Word attachment that I was ready to open, but then decided not to). I then exited XO.com. Within minutes, the owner of the computer sat on his computer and hit the "START" button on the taskbar and scrolled up to "My Documents". He noticed two Word Documents listed that he never opened. He right clicked "Properties" on the document and clicked on the "General Tab" where it showed that it was "Accessed" at the same exact time in which he was away from the computer and which time I was retrieving my emails. The other Word Document in question also opened within seconds from the first one. I absolutely never opened these two documents and yet all technology evidence continues to point my way. Is it at all possible for such an occurance to take place without being prompted or anyone physically opening? Your assistance is highly appreciated as I am under heavy duress because of this incident.

This question was answered on May 2, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
How does that happen? Once you click the document to see the properties the time that appear in the Accessed is the time you clicked to see the properties of that documents. Other thing the My Document list all the document in your computer the one you opened or not opened recently. I hope that helped both of you.
