What is the best and safest way to clean the LCD screen on the laptop

What is the best and safest way to clean the LCD screen on the laptop; particularly, to get fingerprints off safely. This may not be technical, but I don't want to damage the screen. Thanks, Mike

This question was answered on June 23, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
I would say a dry soft cloth like a small cotton towel or somthing of that nature.
