How do I burn an .iso image to file instead of cd-rom?

This question was answered on February 21, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
When you start the imagins software instead of pointing the image to be saved to your cd rom do the following:
a. Create a direction on your hard drive c:\directory or d:\directory
b. Point the imaged to be saved to this directory
c. Created image
