Question
My computer is messed up. It doesn't turn on. It has no sound, and the screen is buggered. What makes it worse is that I built it myself!

In order to troubleshoot your system, the best thing is to swap out parts one at a time until you find the bad part. First, eliminate as many non critical parts as necessary (try removing everything except one stick of RAM, the processor and fan and motherboard. See if the machine will power on and if you get anything on the monitor (if there is not onboard video, you will need to have the video card installed too!). If the system powers on at this stage, try adding components back one at a time until you find the "bad" part.
